Who I Am

Hi! I’m Liz! I am a Quincy area natural light photographer, but started my business in the great state of Oklahoma. My homeland. I currently live in the picturesque midwest town of Quincy, Illinois, with my beloved husband, Travis and our two amazing children, Sullivan and Sawyer.

What I Shoot

I focus on digital, natural light portrait photography. I am a trained wedding photographer, however, I am now tailoring my business to fulfill my current desire for work/family/life balance. I want to spend as much time with my two young children, and with a full time job, that limits my time for photography. After 2016, I will be taking a very limited, select number of weddings.

How I Shoot

I have a passion for people and love the art of photography. I specialize in digital, natural light photography. I would say it is two parts beauty and fun, one part photojournalism, and a dash of tradition. I began my career by taking the passion I had for my hobby and investing in education. I completed such courses as Portraiture, Weddings, Babies & Children, and Black & White Photography. A lot of what I have learned has also been “learn as you go”. Oh, and lots and lots of practice!

I have been shooting portraits for families and seniors since 2005 and weddings since 2007. I am recognized among peers and clients as a creative and experimental photographer with an eye for the inner spirit. I love to bring a sense of excitement and joy to each session and have a supreme desire to provide you with the best product and outcome possible. Each session is unique, as it is tailored to your personality. I like to help those who aren’t comfortable in front of the camera learn to embrace their own beautify and just have fun! I love to find ways to bring that excitement to the forefront, whether it be with creative locations, artistic posing, or just some simple, classic style. I have a desire for education and strive to learn more about the craft while continually evolving and perfecting my own sense of style.
